1410 Yards 7WSM

Its not really that big of a deal, if you've been there done it as many times as we have collectively. I do however take exception when someone says it cant be done, simply because they cannot, or who obviously does not realize what can actually be accomplished in this day & age, or someone who is not motivated enough to get to that level of knowledge that is required to place precision shots on targets at over one mile on demand. If someone wants conclusive proof of the possibilities, maybe they should put their money where their mouth is & come see it for themselves like you did ;O)

I'm glad you guys weighed in. Not for my sake, but for the sake of the sport.

I think Jeff has left the building...

Can't wait to shoot with you guys again.

So all I have to do is say you can't do it and you will let me come shoot with you?

OK, Let the record state this Jeff is not to be confused with <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">This Jeff " Broz"</span></span>. And I further move that we from this point in time refer to Him as Mr. Haugland, JH, or simply Mr.non-Believer.

Thank You,

That's funny. Didn't notice that. JH is convenient, Mr. non-believer is accurate, but my guess is we can call him anything including late to dinner as I doubt he'll show face here again.

No, you dont have to say something cant be done to shoot here, just come sometime when we are hosting an event at the ranch. Jeff H, you also welcome to visit - no problems here!

Jeff H

This is nothing personal, its just when you push, sometimes you have to expect to get pushed back... Normally I would not get involved in the drama, but I think the BS flag gets thrown in peoples faces all to often here, & this was just one of those instances. I would have shut jrob down myself if he had misstated something that Joe & I had not rightfully earned.

Why do these pissing matches have to get started in the first place, when it would be just as easy to feel happy for someone else, & their accomplishments?? The best way to determine BS, is to try it for yourself, & keep trying until you get it right the first time - I believe its how goals are developed, & "every journey begins with a first step"

There is an old saying that comes to mind - it is better to remain silent & be perceived a fool, than open your mouth (sometimes) & remove all doubt.

This was one of those times IMHO... which reminds me of another saying - It sometimes takes a bigger man to admit he made a mistake, rather than to stick with an argument, even though you are wrong, or mistaken. For the record, none of this is any skin off my nose, & hopefully Jeff H will stick around, this is a GREAT site to learn lots of good information from around the globe!!!

Last, I think Lindy is a wise man & nobodies fool in this game! I very much enjoy reading some of his posts when I have time. I sincerely hope Lindy & I will meet each other someday, & can talk about LR target engagement with one another, That would be pretty cool IMO!!

I am done with this thread, & with nobodies objection I am going to edit some of our personal accomplishments in my previous post, now that it has served its intended purpose.

Good Shooting Everyone!

Thanks it's a lot of fun. For the 1400 yard target I was using 63g of 4831sc 2975 Fps and the 800 yard was 65 h1000 2950 Fps. Both loads are Winchester brass, and I clean up the neck using a K&M neck turner, CCI BR-2 primers, Foster Ultra dies, Berger 180 Vld's OAL of 2.95, 5 thousands into the lands. You can PM me if you have anymore questions.

Re: 1410 Yards 7WSM

I'll say one thing about this thread, and its got nothing to do with shooting.

If you type something to someone on a computer that you wouldnt have the balls to say to their face then your no kind of man.

Time/distance/medium dont change the nature of your words, and when you call someone's honor into question it ought to be with the same conviction you would have if the man was standing right in front of you.

Anything else dishonors your own character more than it does his. Let's not hide behind the civil restraint we practice in modern society, using it as a shield to say something to another man we wouldnt have said on the street in 1870 Tombstone or anywhere else when words were often backed with more than a ban from a moderator.

A little mutual respect goes a long way. Besides, IF a man is a liar, that always becomes obvious with no help from anyone else anyway.
