I ordered a Nickel Boron bcg from 15 accessories and it came pretty quickley. I didnt think look at it right away, as I didnt have all the parts for my upper yet. Now I do, I take it out of the package and inspect it. All of the bearing races along the gas key and on the bottom of the bolt have machine marks that run perpendicular to the direction of the bolt when it will be cycling.
They are tiny little ridges, almost like the bearing surfaces were never polished.......will this eat up my upper recierver after normal cycling???? None of my other bcg have these machine marks, I am affraid to use it. I sent them an email and to my "Surprise" I never got a response........

Would you guys use the bcg or is there a way to get the races polished (it is NI Boron coated)??

I will try to figure out how to post a picture today. It makes a ziping sound as it runs through the reciever, which is why I was hesitant to use it. I could just imagine a file running through an aluminum upper......

Thats just how SMI/15accessories bcg are machined. Just built a rifle with a cmmg upper their bolt while being different had the same lathe marks on the races....... For what its worth.

I've run a few of them as well and they have had zero issues for MYSELF. With that said, I've sold 200+ BCG's from them and have had exactly 2 returns for problems. One had a bolt issue and the other had one that was out of spec on the carrier body. Both times SMI had a new one out to them very quickly and handled the problem with great CS which is why I keep selling them, and the few that I've run personally have been flawless.
