Anyone have real world ballistic coefficient numbers for the 178gr Amax? I am looking for numbers like I have for the 175smk (.505 @ 2800fps, .496 @ 1800fps and .485 @ 0fps in applied ballistics). I am trying to match up something that will match my actual dope.
Is there a list somewhere on the web I can look at? I have searched for a few days now with no real luck. I am normally pretty good at finding this stuff but I am stumped on this one. Maybe I am not doing this right but the only way I can get anywhere close is to either drop my mv by about 200fps or cut my bc in half or even more. I have tried G1 and G7 listed BC's that I have found. None have added up. I understand that there will need to be some tweaking but knocking off 200fps or cutting the BC in half doesn't add up.
I will add that when doing a tracking test my swfa 10x42 works as it should. Zero is at 100yds and my velocity @ 15ft is 2630fps avg with a spread of 18fps. Sight height is 1.75". Using RL-17 and Remington brass with Winchester Large Rifle primers. This load shoots .8-.9" everytime. That's about as good as I can get right now with my abilities and the stock AAC-SD trigger. Don't know that any of this will make a huge difference but want to give readers all the info I can up front.

make sure you are putting all the numbers in your program right there was a guy on 24hr that had the same problem and he went back n looked at his program and realized on of his numbers was mistyped or just wrong

Yeah, I have been through everything numerous times thinking that same thing.

What ballistic program are you using? Shooter had been dead on for me. Going to shoot past 1200 next month and we will see how shooter program does.

Shooter and Applied Ballistics. Hopefully, weather cooperating I will get some shooting in today to do some more testing.
