The new BDS Tactical Universal thigh holster is the way to go.

It will fit just about any handgun, with or without lights, lasers, etc. I bought one a few weeks ago, and I am very impressed with the quality. The fact that I can use it with any model of pistol is a huge advantage.

I got a side armor light holster and bolted onto a blackhawk leg kit. I know its not nylon, but it is sturdy though.

Eagle, Tactical Tailor, and London Bridge all have excellent products when looking for a nylon holster. You really can't go wrong with any of those. I've never used the BDS but have used the others I mentioned.
If you're looking for better retention but faster draw, go kydex with either a Safariland or Blackhawk Serpa. They have a larger profile and weight, but if you're going to be using it around potential bad guys, the retention features are really what you'll need.

Why nylon, they are really hard to use if you have to actually draw and reholster multiple times.
Consider the Safariland 6000 series.... heavy and big... yes.
But much more functional.

Kieth, if you are actually USING it, you will find that holsters like the 6004 are FAR superior to nylon.

I've been actually <span style="font-weight: bold">USING</span> Safariland holsters for seven years and a Safariland drop holster for four.
I don't like them and want to try something different.
