Hey guys,
Im new to the forum and figured that I would share one of my vintage "sniper" rifles. It is a BCD 4 russian capture converted by RDO Specialties to a Long Side Rail Sniper. Rifle was already built using Iron Elite made LSR and scope. The number 4 is stamped on the bottom of the base. I'm showing as clear pics as I can to record the fact that this rifle is a complete repro build. I can't find a import mark on it. The barrel looks great. Strong rifling and mirror shiny. Crown looks good too with some character dents on top but nowhere near the crown. Robert Krenzel of Iron Elite made the mount and scope. The base is a solid machined piece instead of a spacer being used.
I have only shot it a couple times with cheap Romanian surplus 8mm. I cant say that Im the biggest fan of the German three post reticle. The verticle post in the sight picture is too thick in my opinion and doesnt come to a sharp point like Soviet PU, PE, and PEM scopes. Not that rifles in similar configuration hadnt been responsible for long range shots during WW2, I just think it will take me awhile to get used to it. Let me know what you guys think.
These were the pics I got from the previous owner. The only change I made was to add the "correct" checkered butt plate.
