I've lurked for a while, and have very much enjoyed the wealth of knowledge over here.
I recently picked up a USO 1.8-10 here, and in my haste, assumed that the 0 MOA mount I had, wouldn't work with the EREK turreted USO, and ordered a LaRue LT-745, which has sufficient spacing between the rings, but has 10MOA cant built in. It now looks like my 0 MOA LaRue mount (otherwise, identical) will work just fine (barely).
I can use either or both, but don't see any benefit to the 10 MOA with 556 and an 18" barrel at the ranges that 556 is useful, which useful ranges exceed the range at which the aforementioned rifle will probably ever be used.
Then again, the USO is so nice, it might find its way onto a 762 in the future, where the 10 MOA might come in handy.
Any possible down-side to using the LT 745 with it's 10 MOA built in on my 556?
