thanks for the comments. There were 3 of them playing on top of some hay rolls and this guy drew the short straw.
the rifle's nothing special in comparison to most of what's on the hide. wanted an easier to pack around hunting rig and this is what the want turned into.

remington 700 sps 308
action trued up
factory sps 1:10 twist (#3ish contour) barrel cut & crowned to 20"
bell & carlson medalist popped some flush cups in & had to hog out the barrel channel a little
egw hd 20 moa base
burris zee rings
nikon monarch 3-12x42
finished up with the krylon touch

very happy with it. i was afraid it would be too fat since it had to go around the oe knob, they even look too fat in pictures. it's a great size, very easy to operate. sort of hate to say this, but comparing it to a badger knob i actually like this thing more. very sturdy just using the o-ring spacers that came with it.
put one my other rem 700 too.

I guess if it works thats great, it looks kinda schitty though

I think I'd rather have a typical tac. knob.

can't argue with you there. they do look better in person but still aren't as pretty as well every typical knob i've seen.

sweet 223 builds by the way.
