Hey guys. I've never ran into this. 5 barrels in and haven't had any issues. I'm reloading 6.5creed with 1x fired brass off a buddy. Sizing with redding full length bushing dies on a redding press. I can't even get the round to chamber far enough to attempt to close the bolt which tells me the body isnt sizing far enough. Any ideas?

Small base die, I have run into this before but never on once fired brass. I made a tool out of a nut that I bored out on a lathe to check for this like a go no-go gauge. If the case passes through it is a go.
Was your buddy's chamber done using the same reamer as yours? You get all your brass from him, once fired?

Have you fired any factory ammo?
If so, I’d measure 5-10 of the fired cases from base to shoulder using a dial caliper and comparator (I use the Hornady headspace tool). Then adjust the die so it pushes shoulder back .001 and try to re-chamber. Keep adjusting in .001 increments until it chambers.

It's not chambering far enough for the headspace to be an issue. I think a small base die is needed.
No and no. This was a first for me buying 1c fired brass. Turns out, it's a shit idea.
Factory stuff and my old brass is not an issue. It chambers and sizes fine. New stuff does not. It was 1x fired in a different chamber. It wont even chamber far enough for me to attempt to close the bolt.
I work with 1x fired LC brass (fired from machine guns, I believe) that I size with a small base RCBS .308 die and it works well on that brass.
Have you measured these cases and compared them to your fired cases to see what the difference in diameter is?
