20 moa rail on a Bolt action 22? closest zero?

Hey fellas,

You guys that are running a 20 Moa rail on a .22 bolt action, can you even zero @ 50yards?

I have a 20moa USO rail on a Quad, and a NF 20moa Unimount with zero problems zero'ing at 50. Albeit I keep the zero at 100yds now.

This is with a NF 3.5-15x50...

This is not a problem. I have a trainer I use with lots of people it is zeroed at 25 yards.

not a problem with a decent scope as long as you have more than 40moa in your scope you should be GTG.

just some hunting scopes with small elevation adjustments will give you problems and are not likley the scope you will use for long range shooting and distance changes anyway.

I have 35 MOA bases on 2 rifles and can zero at 50, but it all depends on how much elevation you have in your scope.

I can do 50 zero with 20 MOA no problem. I would like a 30 or better though.

With a 20 moa EGW on my MKII FV I have tried many different scopes & have always been able to obtain a 50 yd zero.

i have a 40 MOA base and a bushnell 3200 10x mildot. the scope has a total of 78 MOA of elevation. with a 50 yard zero, i have 74 MOA left in my scope. pretty perfect i'd say.

Bottom out the elevation dial and then count as you turn up the dial until it stops...
