I was hunting Rhodes Canyon end of February we might have crossed paths. Great Hunt !!

was it a guided hunt?
or do it yourself would love to do that hunt one day.

http://www.wildlife.state.nm.us/ here is the web site for the proclamation it includes all the hunt's available for the oryx. Some are once in a life time, some are broken horn some are depridation hunts

sorry guys this animal was killed with a 7mm stw improved,,,with a 160 grn sierra gameking,,,,very tough animal a couple shot to kill it,,,,,no it wasnt a guided,,,

it was a cow that measured 36.5 and 37...

That is a great looking oryx,congrats. I didn't know the cows had horns in the high 30's. My buddy and co-worker was just down there, apparently there are plenty of them, he took a real nice bull about the same length as yours, but with real heavy, black horns.
