2012 NorCal TBRC SureFire Invitational 9/29 - 9/30

All,

This year NorCal Practical Precision Rifle Club will be teaming up with SureFire to host our 6th Annual NorCal Tactical Bolt Rifle Challenge.

Dates have been set for:

9/28 - Mandatory competitor check in
9/29 - 9/30th will be our shoot days.

Cost: $250 per competitor.

Fees include range fees for checking zero, 1 event shirt, hat, patch, challenge coin, catered BBQ on Saturday, and a pizza lunch on Sunday while we do final scoring.

80 Competitors
220 round count

This year we have hired the local Jr. High Power Team to pull pits for us, which buys all of the competitors more shoot time. We will also be running 5 ranges simultaneously with our 40 man range crew to get the maximum number or rounds down range as efficiently as possible.

When you consider how many of those shooters have won one or more high level events, it is one tough field.

Then take into consideration the guys that consistently place in the top 10 to 20.

Going to be one hell of a battle for the top 20 places this year.

Hello everyone,

We are a little over 3 weeks away from kicking off the 2012 NorCal TBRC SureFire Invitational!!!!

Our club is very excited and can’t wait to see the first rounds go down range. This year’s roster of shooters is probably the strongest and talented field of shooters this sport has seen ever. Over 1/3 of the competitors have one or more wins in national level events.

Below are some last minute details and reminders:

Mandatory check in on Friday, September 28th from 9am to 4:30pm. If you show up after 4:30 you may not be able to confirm your 100yard zero.

We kick off our shooter’s meeting at 0700 sharp on Saturday morning. If you are not present for this meeting, you will give up your CBS for the day. We have two full days of shooting planned, so I will apologize now if we need to push a lil meet our deadlines.

Round Count: 225 for the entire match.

6mm to 30cal with a 3200FPS. We reserve the right to check the hot rods that have the capability to break the 3200fps limit at any time. When we do check, we’ll draw 3 random rounds from your entire lot of ammo. If two of those rounds are over 3200fps, you will be DQed for the match. All competitors have been notified, so please do not make us the bad guy.

Shipping of Ammo: If you need to ship ammo, please have it in my hands no later than Tuesday, September 25th. After this day, I will be at the range most of the day and will not be home to accept any shipments of ammo. If you do ship your ammo to me, you’ll get it when you check in on Friday. Please send me an email to let me know your ammo is inbound. PM or email me for my address.

Getting to the range: (Do not use online map guides, you’ll be 4 wheeling your rental)
Staying in Rancho Cordova

US 50 East, Exit Sunrise Blvd and go south on Sunrise for about 7.3 miles.

LEFT at the light on Jackson/Highway 16 East (in about 7.1 miles you will see a Chevron/Burger King on Right) this will be your chance for any last minute items.

Continue on Jackson/Highway 16 East for about another 4 miles and make a RIGHT on Ione Road.

Go down 4 miles on Ione Road and turn right on Meiss Road. You should see a sign for Sacramento Valley Shooting Center as well. Continue down the road and turn right into the range. There will be signs to direct you to our check in area.
DO NOT SPEED ON THE RANGE! 15mph speed limit is strictly enforced on our property. Thank you.
