2014 K&M Precision Rifle Competition
K&M Precision Rifle Training is proud to host the annual “K&M Precision Rifle Competition”. With input from the top competitors/instructors around the country, combined with first class training facilities this event is one of the nation’s premier long range precision rifle matches of the year.

The match is high tempo with minimal “down time” between stages. K&M takes pride in hosting the most professional and efficient championship style match in the nation. The course of fire tests and trains disciplines from across law enforcement, military and practical marksman spectrums. There is not another site in the country that has the facility to support a course of fire like K&M’s. Competitors can expect engagements from 50-1000yds at an assortment of steel, reactive, paper and automated moving targets. Target size will vary in difficulty based on the shooters position, distance, props used and time allotted. Most stages will include “stressors”, either time and/or movement. All scoring will be transparent and balanced in order to reward the most consistent shooters. The competition requires 180 rounds to complete the course of fire and is caliber restricted to 300 WinMag and below. The course of fire will be made public at the start of the competition.

Tune-Up
A K&M Competition Tune-Up is open to all competitors the day prior to the match from 9am to 3pm. The Tune-up is designed for competitors to utilize ranges at their own pace and time for some last minute training or to become familiar with the K&M Facility. Competitors may show up anytime throughout the tune block time and shoot as little or as much as they require. The tune-up will allow competitors to confirm zero, gather/confirm ballistic data out to 800+ yards, engage the two moving target systems, rehearse range exercises and stress shoot stages using props commonly employed in the nation’s leading precision rifle competitions. The tune-up will utilize all main ranges and props on the K&M Training Facility, but will not practice any event in a manner that will provide competitors an advantage during the competition. The K&M staff will provide Range Officers at each range/firing point to assist in spotting, managing practice stages, maintaining safety and to aid newer shooters in improving their performance. The K&M Competition Tune-up cost is $75.

Registration
Registration will be done on a transparent first come first serve basis through our website; the match will be limited to 80 competitors. To secure a slot shooters must register online, no other form of registration or payment will be accepted. Once registration is complete you will receive a confirmation email and a link to a welcome/information packet shortly thereafter. The online cart will not accept payments until 1 March 2014 @ 10AM CST. Match payments are not refundable. Once the match is full the site will no longer take registrations. If you want to be put on the waitlist, send an email to [email protected]. Wait listed personnel will be contacted when slots open.

This year I am making an effort to bring as many newer shooters as possible down to the facility. The feedback I’m getting is that it is very intimidating to come and shoot at K&M for newer shooters/competitors. To combat this false perception, every new (or newer) shooter will be able to shoot the tune up for free. They will also have the option to be mentored by a member of the K&M Precision Rifle Training Shooting Team during the tune-up at no cost. The match is a world class event, but that does not mean new guys can’t rub elbows with the seasoned guys and feel comfortable and welcomed doing it. You won’t find a new shooter that came to K&M and felt anything different. So if you are new and lurking there is no better time than this year. (New shooters are classified as a shooter who has shot less than one national level match or has shot club level matches less than one year. Send me a note if you have any questions or to see if you fit the new shooter category)

We will be maintaining this theme with the GAP Grind in the fall, it will be hosted it as a pro/am team match.

So does the sign up start at 10 on march first? Or just the payment? In other words can I sign up before the 3-1-14 date?.....edit

Sorry for the delay fellas. Work has had me tied up pretty bad.

Answering a few questions from PMs, emails, here, etc.:

Sign-up and payment will be “opened” at 10AM CST. You need to pay to secure your slot. The “add to cart” button will be made live right at 10am this Saturday. I will add inventory in the back end. All you have to do is check out like you normally would through an internet purchase. I upgraded servers significantly from last year so (finger cross) you shouldn’t have issues getting through quickly. Don’t test it too much though.;) Only hit refresh as needed. LOL

No pistols in the match, but some cool ideas that we will incorporate from the high level sponsors. Lots of new sponsors this year too! Response has been great.

The Grind is scheduled in pencil right now for AUG 30-31st. If I deploy those will be the dates, if not we will push it to latter in the fall. Right now it looks like we are going. MTF in the April timeframe.

If you guys want to help RO send me an email and we will put you on the team!

Good luck getting in this weekend! I’m hoping there is not mad rush so everyone has time to get in! Send any issues my way.

Kjeons,

There are few camp grounds in the area that should be open and within a short driving distance to the facility. Hurricane lake, etc. There will not be room the facility for campers. I will let you know if we will allow campers at the RO pavilion in the next week or so.

You guys crashed my site...again. I upgraded my site and server big time too. I'll have to try again before the next big match.

Be patient, everyone who is trying to get in, will get in. I assure you.

shannon, when it goes to the cc payment screen at btm and ya get the spin "thinking" symbol just let it sit?

dont refresh right?

Ive got my email conf so I'm just going to let it do its thing. I know some of the online payments would submit another payment so I don't know if I would refresh. If you have the cash in the bank to not worry about it then I guess it doesn't matter. The transaction shows up under my bank account also so I'm assuming I'm good to go.

If I see your name come up twice I will cancel the order. No issue. Things seems to be leveling out. Let me know if you have any issues.

Registration will remain open until all that attempted to sign up can. The goal is to allow registration open and on going for a for weeks. Having people pay at registration helps keep registration open longer. It also gives everyone a fair chance.

As we get closer to my max number, I will published it here.

Thanks to all for showing patience and supporting the match. Again, my apologies for the lengthy process. I will improve the process, once I trouble shoot why the upgrades showed little improvement from the last sign up.
