FFP Range, near Jefferson, OH. Friday - Sunday , Sept 26-28. Our only destination in the northeast this year.
This range is a hidden gem. Had a great time here the last four years. Make the drive this fall for instruction and shooting memories you will never forget.
Complete Course in the Essential Fundamentals and Gravity Ballistics. You will leave a much-improved shooter with an advanced knowledge of external ballistics and hammer-forged precision rifle fundamentals.
We will incorporate a mover on Day 3 to make things interesting and challenging. Wind will be present. Tripod and barrier skill honing.
$1,200 for instruction, which will be due in early August. $75 Range fee due at the Course.
Dedicated classroom on site and the local lodging and food/entertainment is outstanding. Everyone has a great time. Bring 220 rounds.
CONTACT: [email protected] for information sheet and to join the roster.

@Enough Said Good morning; I wanted to double-check this is a beginner-appropriate class? Does the class go over proper rifle fit/adjustment and proper position building?

Last thing, I see tripod instruction is included, is a tripod required for this class?

    Many thanks!

    this is a beginner-appropriate class?
    - never handled a gun before prob not. New to long range shooting yes

Does the class go over proper rifle fit/adjustment and proper position building?
    - Yes, day 1 is scope checks (is it mounted correctly), zero confirms, and position checks/adjustments.

is a tripod required for this class?
-Not required, nice to have. there are barriers you can practice on and someone is always nice enough to let you borrow theirs while they work on barricade work.

    - Main point is bring what you have and an open mind ready to learn and absorb the knowledge.

@Legacy2005 thanks, appreciate the info! Yea not new to guns, but new to this style of tactical/precision LR shooting.

I currently have a super basic setup: rear bag, rifle/optic, bipod and mat for prone. Is there anything else you'd suggest as a must-have or really-should-have ahead of taking one of these classes?

cant speak to other training classes. but for this one id say nice to haves:

Suppressor (if your state allows) best mod for the gun and those laying next to you.
leg extensions for bipod (nice to have as prone on concrete/bench is diff then grass field) there tend to be dips/holes
    extra mags
    extra ammo
weather gear ( check the weather up to the day before) it has been both cold/rainy and scorching hot
