.204 Ruger Reloading Data Request

Although you didn't list it my T3 Varmint .204 liked 8208XBR, however that was with a 39gr Sierra. Every charge weight tried shot under 1 MOA, and mid-range loads shot the best. Unfortunately I haven't revisited this rifle since getting a chrono.

I'm betting your load development will go easy. Every 204 I know about is a great shooter, including the AR platforms.

I like to try for thrown charges to avoid trickling, so I played with CFE 223 and was happy. I like the Sierra 39 and Hornady 40 V-Max, so I don't have values for the 32 grain bullets. With the 39 or 40 grain bullets, the CFE223 charge was about 28.5 to 29 grains to give 3700 fps at the muzzle of a WOA Varmint Upper.

I only have AR's in 204 but I'd start with Varget at 28.5 grains. Work your way up to 29.0 grains. I used 35 grain berger bullets. I tested some loads last weekend and shot .503" group with 5 shots.

I run h335 with the 34hp it's been fantastic. Meters super easy and usually available every where. I've run it in 30* and 90* with no real difference.

I don't hotrod too much I'm about 3900fps
