22-250 with 12 twist

"I hate that, if I spend 50 bucks more I will save 5 bucks in shipping" lol

They are new enough that I havent shot any critters with them yet this season so I cant report on that. But I doubt they will prove a poor choice. They blow the shit out of my target boards.

I had seen the product release and was definitely interested in them and when I went to the shooters pro shop to get some more 69 cc or 60 bt I saw them in stock for the first time ever and decided to roll the dice on 1k of them instead of the others. Im now giving away my last 150 ballistic tips to a new reloader just so I dont have them haunting me on the shelf with my first in-first out inventory compulsion. They are long, I think (dont have my book here) Im at ~2.5" coal to the lands but my throat doesnt help that.

In lapua 223 they liked 24.6 of xbr and a cci 400 and .03 off of the lands.

Only thing I am worried about is if my 1 in 9 22-250 will blow them up. Then I will shoot them in a 223 at some prairie dogs. 24.6 is right about what what I use for XBR with the 53 v max in my 223 in LC11 brass. Gives me about 3400 out of a 26" factory barrel.

I have a 1:12 twist 22 250 and used 34.6g IMR4320 with the 53 varmeg's and got fantastic results on p-dogs this spring. 55 g hornandy SX with 33.8 g had almost as good of accuracy and it was a toss up which were most impressive on the critters. Prob switch to all varmeg's next year as the ballistic tips really do the trick.

If head or neck shots on does or spikes then a ballistic tip at 22-250 speeds will be enough, if youre going to shoulder shoot a good buck then I would want a partition for better penetration as super said.
