Suppressors ;22 suppressor on compensated barrel

I asked this question on the post with a .22 of mine but I figure it might get more answers here. I have a custom .22 that my fiancee's dad made her for her bday. It has a whistle pig barrel which came compensated. If I wanted to suppress this rifle would I have to cut it back past the small slits or could I have it thread as is? Would the pressure from something as small as a .22 coming though the compensated part of the barrel do dmg to the suppressor threads?

Yes you would have to remove the ported slots.

It wouldn't cause damage to the threads but it wold foul up so much that after 50 rounds it could be hard to remove the can.

You can measure the barrel length by putting a cleaning rod down the barrel with the bolt closed. Though you probably have at least a 17" barrel based on this from whistle pig's website website:
