22 VAR dies

I acquired a seating die and trim die that are stamped 22 VAR. Is this what the 22-250 used to be called?? Are there any differences between the 22-250 and the 22 VAR??
If I am way off - what is the 22 VAR??

Yes that's the 22-250 before standardization. I have a set of 22 var dies by rcbs and they still work great.
