And as far as loads are concerned, I think you just need to settle down on which bullet you WANT to shoot. You've got potentially 100K combinations available with how you've stated your question. The 1:8 twist will handle all of the bullet weights you've listed with the higher grain weights achieving a higher BC if you are attempting to shoot for long distance.
Personally I'd shoot the 69gr Sierra (.301 BC) or the 64gr Berger (.306 BC) of the bullets you've listed. Narrow it down and I can run a couple of scenarios.
This is coyote hunting rifle. I'm in Colorado so the shots can be long at times but most will be in close and I try to keep it fur friendly. I would prefer to use the 64gr Berger or the 69gr Sierra. I picked the different weights to test for accuracy and performance. I chose the AI just because.
I have a variety of powders on hand and started loading with my first batch being the 64gr Bergers with Varget and Rem 7 1/2 primers. Haven't been able to shoot them yet. Probably load up some with BLC 2 or H4895. I was looking for someone with first hand experience using these weight bullets for a starting load.
I got good accuracy with BLC-2 in a standard .223, but it is very temp. sensitive. I lost over 100 fps in the winter. Thought that might be something to think about for a hunting load.
Good point. It's starting to cool off here and actually had our first snow this week so developing a load now should be good to go. I used a 204 last winter shooting BLC 2 and 39gr Sierra BK's out to 250 yards or so. Seemed to work just fine, never shoot it when the weather's hot.
