Prs is 3150 limit
I was talking about his .223 with 88s. If you can get them over 3150 then all the power to you lol

I figured but didn’t want to see him build a 22cm with 62vts lolI was talking about his .223 with 88s. If you can get them over 3150 then all the power to you lol
I had planned (even ordered the barrel black) to shoot 223AI for open class, but project never ended up happening.Aside from the difficulty of getting consistent velocities with .223, and the lower impact signature, the 88s or 85.5s should be in the ballpark of being reasonably competitive with the 6mms, with some serious advantages in recoil & cost. I'll probably try a barrel set up for 88s when my current 6GT barrel dies

That’s fair, I think my 6creed was up there but I dialed it backDoesn’t matter? No one shoots anywhere near there anymore anyways lol

Are most guys just loading less powder in the 6CM now or are they using slower powders (H4350, H1000 etc)?Back around 12 years ago and prior everyone was wanting to be at 3150 and where the 6 Creed got its barrel burner rep. .243 was doing the same before the 6 Creed. Now everyone is running 2750-2900 range so those barrels will last a lot longer. It can do it but not needed.
I remember getting my 6creed spun up and being like I’m gonna pushing 105’s at Mach Jesus, then after a season of abusing it I realized that I didn’t need to push them so hard. Now I’m happy running stuff in the 2800-2900 range, saves me powder and doesn’t torch my barrel but I’ll admit pushing 75 ELD-M’s at 2900-2950 might be a little spicy but nothing wild.Back around 12 years ago and prior everyone was wanting to be at 3150 and where the 6 Creed got its barrel burner rep. .243 was doing the same before the 6 Creed. I like the idea of a slow 6mm/22cal but don't want to deal with feeding issues, I know the 22/6GT pretty much gives no issues at all, but the Creedmoor case (probably not for 22cal) is still the safest option.
I'm still running a 6.5CM but have thought about changing for a while.
Although the main issue is I actually shoot 22lr and the centrefires stay in the safe....
It seems like downloading isn't really the way to go.H4350 is the powder to get the higher velocities. It will work with less to get lower velocities but I found N160 pushes the 110 ATips at 2900 nicely. I tried to download H4350 but wasn’t great for accuracy.
Nothing wrong with the 6.5 Creed. I still shoot mine too and been shooting the 153s at 2680fps and love the feel and performance.
