I have a savage axis .223 with a bedded Boydes stock, McGowan 223 Wylde barrel, and a swfa ss 16x scope on it. The scope is good and all but I was young when I bought it and thought that more magnification is always better. I am wanting something a little bit better as far as field of view and picture brightness. I am trying to decide between getting another swfa just in 10 or 12x or getting a higher priced one like the ior valdata 10x. Also recently discovered the Arken 4-14. This seems interesting. Basically I am looking for an extremely robust scope I can beat the crap out of and it’ll keep working along with good glass, field of view, and tracks good.

Thanks for the input! How does it compare to the swfa scopes as far as ruggedness? My swfa has been a champ and want it at least as good.
One of those Bushnell LRTS closeouts for $650 is pretty tough to beat and is Japanese like your SWFA. Forgo all the Chinese trash and IOR trash as well.
What about the swfa 10x HD? Anybody that has personal experience with them please chime in. Are they as durable as the original? More durable? I’ve seen reviews where the turrets seem very nice and they track just as good. Plus the glass is better.
