i have some once fired LC 06 nato headstamp. some of the cases are allready under the 1.75 as short as 1.744. as long as i fit the projectile to the proper cartridge overall length am i good to go?

also while i am asking questions. i have 5 manuals none list the reciepe i found components for. for 223 gas gun

sierra .224 52 grain hpbt.
reloder 15

i have had siera 69 grain hpt with reloder 15 and use it in my .308 bolt gun.
does anyone have the reciepe for 52 grain and reloder 15? thanks

Re: .223 trim to 1.750 what if length is shorter?

The case length is not a problem. RL 15 does better with the heavier bullets. Alliant lists this for the 62's:

.223 Remington Speer 62 gr FMJ IMI 2.255 - CCI 400 Reloder 15 25 2,832

You could start with that but I think I would want to go with something that was a little more mainstream for the 223 52 grainer's. I like AA 2015, 2230. In the Hodgdon I like 335 or 322. They have all run very well in my AR's.
