Never had any problems with 50 gr vmax to 88 gr elds in the two 223 Wylde 1:7 rifles I've owned. A bit over 1/2 moa and accurate out past 1100 yards. Thinking about a new SA build and am trying to decide. I'm told the main difference is the amount of freebore; the 223 Wylde has 0.0621 and the 223 Rem Match has 0.090. Not sure if the 223 rem match would shoot 75 gr Hndy OTM well (which I have a fair supply of). Planning on a 24" bull with a 1:7 twist.
Thoughts?

When I shot the AR in highpower, with both service rifle and a spacegun, I used the Wylde chamber. Shot the 80gr SMK at 2.550" for 500/600yds. Worked perfectly.
I am using the .169" freebore ISSF chamber in my F class .223, but shooting nothing but the B85.5gr Hybrids.

Verify freebore present on reamer used to chamber barrel. There are many versions of "Wylde" out there, same with 223 Rem Match. Bolt gun I prefer a slightly tighter body then what Wylde calls out.
Get a print of reamer, know what dimensions are there for body dimensions, freebore, and lead angle.

0.090" freebore will shoot the 75 Hornady OTM bullet just fine, especially if you are loading the bullet and can set bullet where wanted / needed.

What magazine system are you going to use?

Rifle will see 95+% handloads. So I can tailor seating depth to what it likes. Rifle will have a MDT AICS 223 magazine. Although, I primarily feed single rounds.
Thanks for the information!

I'm just over 6weeks into my wait with Criterion. I went with wylde but I'm building more of a lightweight duty rifle and wanted ammo flexibility. Eventually I plan to work up a load for some heavies but until the market levels out I'll just be happy to get out and test fire it.
