Rifle Scopes 22lr scope

What would you guys recommend for my CZ 22lr trainer?

I have my eye on the bushnell forge 4.5-27x50

No one around me carries that scope so it’s hard for me to spend money when I can’t play with it first.

if you can suggest another scope, I like to keep it less than $800.

I like Vortex as a brand and have 2 Razors and 2 Viper PSTs, all gen-2, right now. But, if you do not already have a preference, and for someone asking the question you ask and with the budget you state, I would very strongly suggest you look hard at the Athlon Midas TAC. I've been behind one on a buddy's .22 trainer, and I really liked it.

@gr8fuldoug already chimed in above. CALL him. On the phone. It's to your benefit. Edit: I called Doug about an Athlon Argos for my nephew's budget-build .22. Doug is a great supporter of the SH community, even if'n he does have that LonGUYlund accent! ;-)

I have a midas tac on my Vudoo and it's a great scope. Tracking is on point out to 350 yards which is around 13 mils. For the price it's hard to beat.

Athlon Ares BTR. There's a 4.5x27 and a 2.5-15. You can find the 2.5x15 in stock at Cameraland for $390. You 'might' be able to find a 4.5x27 new for around $500. Both were much more and easily worth their current sale price. Tracking is on par w/ the best of the best.

I dont have a Midas Tac but do have an Argos BTR and an Ares ETR. I would highly recommend either.

No, I'm not sponsored. I support people who support our sport and I edited my post to reflect interaction I have had with Doug. I see Athlons at the matches I go to.

I see them all the time at our 22lr. PRS/NRL22 matches. On some really nice rifles too. Vudoos, Anshutz, CZs. I also see some Nightforce, Tangent Theta, and S&B. Athlon's get rep points from most who look through one. And I get asked all the time about mine. Mostly from guys who have nicer scopes. Nothing special, just a general interest.
