Just ordered a bunch of these because you guys wouldn't tell me if they worked in a 1:10 twist...load and rage data to come...

I'm back ordered as well. Talked to Hornady today and they said they are in production and the first batches shipped yesterday to Midsouth and Grafs. I have the special seater coming. I see several places have the 110s 135s and 153s available. So they should be shipping out to guys soon.

Cool. I'll race you to see who get 1 mile data first...?

I'm sure you will win that race....unfortunately. I'm currently salivating over my barreled action.....sans chassis or scope. the J Allen Stock will be ordered very soon when I have the funds, and the Vortex just needs a nice Spuhr mount to go into....

So...I can dry fire without a stock...and that's about all right now. It sucks being a 'normal' person trying to play in the rich person sport of ELR...but I've given up luxuries like eating and paying my bills...so I can afford to play a game I love.

Curious to see what you find out. I ran the 225s in a 1:8 which was probably overkill, but it did the job well. I figured 1:10 would be right on the edge, similar to using a 1:9 .223 barrel for 69-75gr loads.

230 A Tips arrived. Not impressed so far. Flimsy packaging and weights are off. Last pic is comparison between it and 212 eldx.

I checked 25 out of 100 and got 230.3 to 230.9.

Did you check the weights in order?...I'm not trying to be funny...just thinking that is how I will weigh mine tomorrow when I get them. Did you take any measurements of the ogive? meplat diameters? Boattail measurements? I was going to get all nerdy on mine.

Well I'm not sure the order that they were placed into the packages. But yes I started at the front and went left to right. As far as overall length they only deviate. 0005 from 1.769. .905 to ogive. Boat tail is .228.

When mine arrive tomorrow...and if I'm not too tired from a 14 hour day at work...I'll measure mine out...and compare them to a 100box of 225 ELD-Match that I have....that I never got around to weighing.

Got mine in today... everything measured great....my weights were a tiny bit off...

I had :

229.9 qty 4
230.0 qty 16
230.1 qty 12
230.2 qty 24
230.3 qty 32
230.4 qty 8
230.5 qty 4

Guess I could cull the 229.9, 230.4 and the 230.5 and call it good with only losing 16 out of 100...but I'll actually test and see if....with my skill set...if I can notice a difference between the weights...or if my own error factor as a shooter is greater than what the weights show.

First off, I don't know if I would trust that scale... I have the same and it drifts like no other when weighing anything. But definitely looking forward to these bullets and their performance.

My scale i had like that drifted a substantial amount as well. The day i threw it away and bought a chargemaster was when it was calibrated, I continued to weigh less than 10 powder charges and noticed a swing of .7 grains on the scale.. i recalibrated it, weighed the same charges and there was a swing of only .3 grains.. That was with a fresh battery. I took the battery out and trashed it.

Loaded up some today with RL22. I'm a bit annoyed with the Special Hornady seater...it tends to cling to the bullet...maybe it's sized more for the 250.

Will use this brass to do a ladder test and then when my new brass arrives I will fire 225 bthp to size to chamber and then only neck size for the 230 A tip to give it the best chance.
