New comp gun. 243 , rem 700, 24" 1:7.5 tw Krieger. Working up loads. Currently 115 DTAC / 41.8gr H4350. Running 2950, 1/2 moa gps @ 100. Just curious as to others experience with 107 and 115 and slower burners ie. ( Retumbo, H-1000, H-4831, RL-22 or 25). Load data looks promising velocity wise. How do they shoot?

Shot 105 Lapua Scenar , Hornady 105 A Max, SMK 107 using 44.5gr.of H1000 in a Lothar Walther ,28', SS, 1 in 8 twist barrel and had very good results. 3/4 or less MOA. Best results with Lapua. Don't recall speed.

I had best accuracy and speed using H1000. I tried H4350 and couldn't get the velocity where I wanted it. Re25 gave decent speed and accuracy, but wasn't temp stable. However, I was using a 27" barrel.

What Rookie said on the 115 DTACS & RL25.
In addition I used 47.5 grs. Retumbo which gave me bragging small groups but it was an the slow side for .243 shooters. That ran 2787 fps out of a 24.5 " bbl. Absolutely no pressure signs in 103 degree summer heat. If you can live with only 2787 fps I really like it.

This is working for me, for 12" steel out to 800 yds:

VV N-165
44.5 gn
3000 fps
26" Krieger 1:8
AIAE MKII
115 DTAC
Little if any temperature sensitivity, unlike RL-25.
