I'm finally getting into reloading after getting tired of paying $100 per box of shells. I'm loading a 100 gr Barnes triple shock hpbt in a .257 WBY mag. Does anyone have powder recommendations ? Or any other helpful hints for reloading this round.

You should try F215Mag primers.
H4831 or H1000 should do the trick. Look in the Barnes book for other suggestions.
Be very careful about setting the shoulder back. You need only the slightest shoulder bump, if any. .001 is fine and case life will be better for it. Have fun.

7828 was my .257 Wby's favorite. While counter intuitive, my rifle grouped best with pretty short OALs, like 3.140".

I have owned 3 257 weatherbys and worked up a load for 1 other that is my buddys. There are a couple things i always do with the weatherby, one being i always have better luck with OAL close to what reloading manuals suggest. I never ever have good luck trying to seat them way out. Stick right around factory for that. Powder wise i have had very good luck with reloader 25 and IMR 7828. The 110's and up is what has given me best luck. None of the rifles i have had liked anything less than the 110's. They were all weatherby vanguards except one was a MK V and 3/4 MOA for 3 shots was fairly easy to achieve but best i could ever get with lighter bullets was over an inch.
barnes 100 TTSX, norma brass, 75g retumbo, 3550 fps. this chamber has a .110Fb and is shorter than the wby throats

I'm working on the same thing now for a 26" cdl model, I chose to start with swift 100 gr siricco sp? And IMR 7828 sc with cci mag primer. I did a lot f research online to find a starting combination. I am shooting for 3600 fps depending on where accuracy and pressure signs show up, I found a load chrono'd at 3650 on a 26" barrel or supposedly that fast with powder bullet weight combo. I also found a lot of people having better luck seating near factory rather than chasing the rifling. Still fighting with my better judgement on what scope to put on it so I can get to shooting first loads, 2.5-10x42 nxs or trijicon 3-9x40. I know two completely different optics here but that is what I narrowed it down to unless I get my hands on luepold vx-6 to see how i like it, that one may work well too. Keep us posted I will do the same when I get some range time
mine likes 65.3 grains h4831SC, berger 115 vld's, fed mag match primers, OAL of 3.30 this is in a remington 700. works for me anyways, worth a shot if you want to try it. good luck.
I took a 257 Weatherby that I built on a Rem 700 to Namibia Africa for a plains game hunt in 2006 and loaded the Barnes XLC 100gr BTHP with 7828 and Fed Match mag primers, it shot one ragged hole all day long. The biggest issue with loading for a factory chambered Weatherby is that the free bore is about a mile long. I cut my chamber with a Manson reamer without a throat then cut throat to match Bullet and had .010 bullet jump. Awesome Cartridge. The plains game hated it.
I use a 115 Nosler Partition in Weatherby brass CCI 250 Magnum primer and 68.0 grains of 7828 ssc powder for 3410 fps out of a 25" Douglas bbl. I love the trajectory of this cartridge. I shot a .25/06 for many years and rebarreled to the .257 WM, shooting the same bullet at 300 fps faster.
Assuming your rifle is a Weatherby and has the WBY free bore I have had best luck with OAL of 3.170 in three WBY rifles with the Barnes TSX.
I used to use RL-22 but have switched to Retumbo, start at 75 grains and work up if you are using Norma WBY brass and have the long throated rifle.
Retumbo, RL-25, RL-22, Ramshot Magnum, IMR 7828 all work well with this cartridge bullet combo.
I find the best accuracy just past 3600 fps with 26" tubes.
Have used CCI, Win & Fed mag primers and no complaints with any of them.
The 100gr TSX and the 257 WBY Mag are perfect match.
