Go to Here:
"Bushing Selection"
I use the method starting at the 3rd paragraph. Redding recommends a .001 neck tension. I use .002
Basically, you measure the neck of a few seated rounds with the Lapua Brass and take an average. (This is the bullet diameter plus 2 walls of the brass)
Subtract .001-.002 for Bolt Gun or .003-.004 for a Semi-auto
This the size of the bushing you want.
I am not familiar with Lapua 260 Rem brass, only had experience with Lapua .308 brass. If 260 Rem Lapua brass is ~.015 thick (like the .308 Lapua), then I would say it's a .292 bushing for a .002 neck tension.
As of now, I use the bushing dies to set the "Outer" diameter of the brass neck. So, I took out the expander ball, and just FL with the bushing.
There is a post here just recently about getting a consistent "Inner" diameter using a carbide expander ball in the Redding Type-S dies. I might give that a try next.
