I'm having a Krieger barrel for an Armalite AR-10 chambered for .260 Remington and wondered what bullets people are using that are loaded to magazine length.

I'm using Berger 140-gr VLDs in my 6.5-.284 bolt action with excellent results. Are people successfully using that bullet loaded to mag length, or would a lighter, shorter bullet be a better choice?

I have a selection of lighter-weight bullets ranging from 95-gr. V-Max to 139-gr. Lapua Scenar.

Thank you,
Richard

Does this do well at 800-1000 yards?

Thank you,

I think I have some of those, too. The jump tolerance could be important in a gas gun.

I shoot the 140 SMK's out to 1300, my barrel prefers them to the other more slippery bullets. They are pretty short and jump tolerant.
