Anyone hunt with a 22", 270 win. and have a recipe with H4831sc and 150gr Nosler Partition that would like to share their gr. weight and velocity? Feel free to PM me also.

*Disclaimer: I do not intend to start with these loads, this is just simply for a reference.

I have shot a .270 Win a lot over the last 50 or so years. My standard load is 62 Grains of H 4831 in a Winchester case, Fed 210 M primer and 130 Sierra or Nosler bullet. If you need any bullets, brass or dies let me know. I have far more than I will ever use at this point. Start with 58 and work up. You will need a drop tube to get to 62 grains. I am still loading out of those 50 # drums of surplus powder that were sold in the 50's.

I have a similar load. Running a Steyr in 270 Win for white tail. Using 130gr GameKings / 58.6gr of H4831sc / WLR Primer / Nosler brass.

I'm getting just over 2,820 fps and it's usually a .6-7 MOA for 5 shot groups. For that specific rifle, I don't think it can get much better without changing the stock and doing a bunch of other work. Never had an issue dropping a white tail dead in its tracks.

I believe I was loading 57 grains of H4831 behind a 150 partition, lit by a federal 210. Post 64 model 70 push feed, shoots lights out with just about everything I put in it. 130's (ballistic tips, partitions, game kings) were placed on 58.5 grains of H4831. I need to dig this rifle out and dust it off.
