28 Nosler Thread

Decided to dump my 300wm for a 28Nosler. I went with a Christensen Arms MESA Long Range platform. Any other 28 Nosler shooters on here as well?? Ballistic info or loads welcomed.

My set up so far..

I have a 28 Nosler barrel for my AI AXMC. Love this round. I just started experimenting with some Retumbo. For the 168grn round it seems to like 81.3gns, 168 SMK, Nosler brass, Federal match 215 primers. 3165 FPS, .33” groups. There is some room for fine tuning,Temp didnt affect the round any, I started out at 68 degress and ended at 88 degrees with the same groups size and speed. The grouping stayed consistent out to 1000 yds. Im going to try the 175 SMK next week since it has a higer BC. Will also work in some RL33 for both weights since both of my 338 Lapua like this powder and I have a lot of it. I might experiment with the Bergers that I have laying around but they seem to be dependent upon seating depth which is a pain. The 28 Nosler is a joy to shoot less recoil than the 300 WM and 338 LM but just as hungry for powder.

I just bought CA Mesa LR in 28 nosler I’m excited but read a guy returned one of his own because he believes the chamber dimensions are wrong..after full length resizing he couldn’t get the cases to go into a Wilson case gauge... what are your thoughts??
