280 Ackley and 162 A-max.

Hi all ,
I am in the process of getting a 280 Ackley built .
It will be on a Sako 75 action , the barrel length will be 28 inches and i shall be using the Nosler custom brass!!
It will chambered for the Nosler brass and my Newlon dies will be cut with the same reamer!!
I plan to use the 162 A-max so my question is , what powders do you recomend??

Here is a handful.

I'm in the same boat as you, same brass and bullet combo. I'm going to try a few of the powders I have on hand (RE22 & maybe RE17) but will likely end up getting some 4831sc to try also.

H4831SC and don't look back. With a 28" tube, you should get to 3000fps easily.
My 26" will go 2960fps.

I shoot 162 AMAX out of my 24" Broughton running Reloader 17. I'm pushing steady velocities of 2990. I love my 280AI, good luck with the build
