Gunsmithing 280 AI barrel twist

I am looking at barrels for my 280 AI build and have a question on twist. Mcgowen has a 8 or 9 for a pre fit, anyone have a opinion on the better twist to use?

Done lots of 280s on 9s w/no issues reported.

My personal gun (280 AI) has a 1-9 Bartlein 5R and it shoots great! I've only shot 168 Bergers and 160 AB though, no 180's. I've built more than a few of these for customers on 9 twist barrels and they have no problem with shooting 180's.

Mine have all been 9 twist and it's worked out great. It's a very accurate and easy to load for chambering in my experience.

1-9 twist! Yes it will shoot 180's also! No need for a 1-8 twist.

I have an 8 and a 9, they both shoot well and I haven't found an advantage of one over the other yet. I don't shoot the light side of the 7mm caliber though and keep it up on the heavy end.
