Maybe in light of what is taking place in Our VA Commonwealth and the surge in unconstitutional laws being proposed in other states, Lowlight could make us a sticky?
We must keep the discussion alive so we don't become complacent.

Here is the unspoken "problem" with these such discussions here on SH.....

IT does not accomplish anything!! And here is why I say that:

1. EVERYONE here already agrees with the notion of The Constitution and the rights that it gives us. It is like preaching to the choir.

2. When ONLY like-minded people bring any topic up for discussion...it really is a futile point because at the end of the discussion has anyone been "swayed" to join their side? No; because there was nobody from the other side there to hear the discussions.

3. IF anyone requires a forum post to keep things on their mind in order to not become complacent....well you are already past complacent.

I assume a few of you live in a Gun and God loving state where every vote matters and Liberty and Freedom are exercised every day. Must be a nice place to live! VA used to be like that but when the Northam mentality and your states regime comes after you, you sirs will understand. United we stand qnd divided shall be how we will fall!
I remember actually the first time I shot my g-grandpas shotgun. I was three years old, killed my first squirrel at 7, and my first deer at 15. Shot my first match at 16.
I recited the pledge of allegiance the first time in Anchorage, Alaska on Fort Wainwright. Grew up believing in the flag and all she waves for. Have exercised my 1st amendment right more than most of y'all... Look beside my Hide name. Yes. I'm a Pastor and I am persecuted regularly. I have received hateful email, phone calls. And death threats based upon my beliefs. Yep, thats the great thing about being an American we can choose to believe in a God whom created us, we can choose to understand where our framers of the U.S. Constitution sought their wisdom or not. You live as you choose but may we all live free.
So, is a sticky the best way to keep our endeavors alive? Maybe, maybe not, but the enemy is coming to your village soon so may we stand united and not divided. Frank, its your call whatever you think is best for our passion, our hobby, and our Constitutional Rights!

What's your take on using a forum to get stuff DONE, after realizing the threats in front of us? You do realize that making money with building firearms could become pretty difficult a few month after November if we do not get our act together ASAP.

There have been many calls to action in the recent VA threads. Also, believe it or not, there were some people who realized they had lived under a rock until they read the posts about what's coming down the pike in VA.

It's one thing to do it in the country a hundred-plus miles from any big city in a football stadium full of like-minded individuals. That's literally preaching to the choir. Try doing it in the city. Try doing it in the Volvo Liberal upper middle class hellholes surrounding them. Any progress you make there is real progress. An affirmation isn't the same as a conversion and a baptism.

I thank God for every American whose ever sworn an oath to protect this great nation, my son has swore that same oath and will gladly lay aside a breath full of air for the freedom of a nation.
That stadium full of " likeminded individuals" was a sigh of relief to speak to. I have traveled the globe expressing what I believe, I have escaped perils only to return to my family by a supreme creators Grace.
Sir, you name the place and I will more than glad to come, I sir, will consider it a privilege. That "stadium of like minded people" was nice but I'm open to less than comfortable opportunities.

Does a membership on SH make any difference in my ability to smack little bitty targets with authority at LR? Nope, but it does allow me to learn from those that are able to bring wisdom from experience to the platform. I asked a question and several made a contribution. This is America.

Damn dude. This subject has been covered several times. The HMFIC has made his position clear on every one of those instances.
If you want to dig back in time I think you will find some of what I have stated as truth. At one point things got a little out of hand and the Boss Man made it clear that it would end or the offenders would get banned for life.
This very topic came up from someone else just a couple weeks ago. Now when you enter the Bear Pit and didn't do due diligence in researching your topic it's usually just fun and games to test the elasticity of the offenders skin.

no where in my comment did I suggest or imply hurting anyone . Everyone is entitled to there opinion , my mention to bbq was more about we are eating pulled pork and brisket tonight a friend sent 10 lbs out to us to try ( eat the hell out of ) he killed it cleaned it cooked it It was very nice of him to offer to let us have some to try . On the anti 2a issue I try and not think too much about it cause either way I have no thoughts of complying to any tyrannical dimacratic law that contradicts the constitution , nor will I submit to a registration of my fire arms to whatever end that may be , other than the hoops one has to go through to get a gun in the first place I have complied enough .

Centralizing some comms isn't a bad idea. Even though SH is a "echo chamber", news about state and local meetings, proposed laws, etc can be valuable.

With this said and IMO, a "sticky" is actually less effective in this case. Threads for different states or localities are more targeted and thus more likely to capture attention of those who would be interested or have the means to attend.

At some point however, there needs to be concerted and effective mobilization on a much larger scale. Full disclosure - IDK when or what this is...

No one is going to convince enough that need convincing that self preservation is necessary til they feel the boots of the system they are crying for on their own necks.
