Rifle Scopes 3-18x50mm vortex razor gen2, who has one???

I bought one earlier but really haven't shot it much. It's mounted on my sons .308 right now but will be going on my new .260 Remage as soon as I get all the parts together. I like it so far. I did a tracking test on mine today and was pleased that it was right on the money clear up to 20 mils. I've not had a chance to see its big brother but I had a chance to buy this one at a good price so went with it rather than waiting on the higher magnification.
I'm sure that the extra magnification would be nice but I think I'm going to like this one just fine.

kansas, couple questions on yours, when you power up at the top power do you notice any difference in the image quality. I have had many different scopes in the past that I'd notice more chromatic aberration or other issues that turning the ring back just a touch solved. Also when your down around 10-12 power can you still see the hold offs (tree) well enough to use them in the field? I saw some pics on here somewhere that made them pretty light but it may have just been the camera angle causing this.

I was really thinking about a NF F1 until this came out, I dont care for super huge objective lenses and have been living comfortably with 15-20x top ends... this may be my perfect scope.

You've asked some very good questions that I hadn't thought about. First off my eyes aren't the best so take my observations for what they're worth. On full power I can not detect any blurring and the glass stays nice and bright. On my Gen I Razor I normally back off of full power just a little to crisp thing up. Same way with my Golden Ring spotter. I always back off a little to see the bullet holes. After you asked this question I pulled mine out and looked out across a ripe bean field and across a brome field for a background and at 6 power I can barely see the numbers or the half mil hash marks across the bean field and have a hard time seeing the cross hairs on the brome patch. At 8 power I can see all hash marks in the bean field and is easier in the brome background than at 6 however it's still difficult. At 10 power up all are easily usable. I normally shoot matches at 10-12 power so it shouldn't be a problem however...my Gen I Razor, using the same backgrounds, was much easier to see the reticle and marks from the bottom, 5 power, all the way through. I had read that Vortex had thinned up the reticle just a bit.
I think the larger objective on it's big brother will brighten things up a bit but shooting steel I have never been above 15 power. We mounted this on my son's new .308 so we could shoot his rifle while he saves up for a scope and haven't had much time to shoot lately but one thing we did both notice was it added a lot of weight to the rifle.
My two choices was this or a F1 and someday will probably still own an F1 but I think this is going to be a great scope.

I've run yhe new 3x18x 50 a lot and I can say with out a doubt best optic I have ever owned. Glass is superb ...tracks perfect and love the turrets...glass is crisp and clear at 18 enough that I killed a coyote well beyond 1000 facing into the mourning sun. The reticle substension is use able down yo about 6x and the it becomes more of a standard duplex.
