If it had been designed like the 4-16x and 5-25x PMIIs, the 3-20x would be longer and heavier than it is and somewhere between them in size and weight - that's what makes it "compact."
If you already have a 4-16x, I see no compelling reason to sell it and buy the new 3-20x. If you need a new scope, the 3-20x would be the way to go. </div></div>
I actually do need another scope, but it seems a bit overkill for an M14.
