Gunsmithing 3/4-24 vs 3/4-28 tpi?

Is they're a big difference and advantage to go from 24 to 28 tpi?

What would be the benefit? Obviously more thread contact but does it really make a significant difference?

I think the only difference would be 24 is the common tpi, 28 is not. would be harder to buy or sell anything 28 tpi

all my 3/4" threads are in 24 TPI, and my thunderbeast 338P is also 3/4"x24

3/4-28 will have a larger minor diameter vs. 3/4-24. but, it would be minimal and probably not make the least bit of difference. At least not enough to mess with an oddball thread pitch.
