Here are the gradations I had planned (0.85%):

56.4 gr
56.8 gr
57.3 gr
57.8 gr
58.3 gr
58.8 gr

Mfr's max: 59 gr @ 48700 CUP

Sound about right?

What kind of brass? Those charges out to tell you what it likes. However, I would start at the minimum and work up to max in .5 increments. You're rifle may like the low node. Then you can fine tune in .2 increments to hone in on "The Load."

Here is today's result. To the best of my knowledge I did not pull a SINGLE shot in the 56.8 gr group. It was done round robin, left to right. The recoil did surprise me a bit after shooting all those cute little 150 gr with IMR 4064.

57.8 looks good to me, I would load more up from 57.5 to 58.1 and see what looks the best out of those and then start playing with COAL with that charge. I have some 178 BTHP and plenty of 4350, I need to start playing with it...

Based on what I see I would probably lean towards
5 each and run at 200 plus yards to see what you get.
57.5
57.8
58.1

I believe doing this would give you a better idea of which direction middle of node is or if YOUR rig's NODE is 57.8.

Example, after 15 shots you could find 57.5 to 57.8 results better when comparing 57.8 to 58.1.

In example you then may split difference and wind up at or similar to 57.6, 57.7 or, if anal like I am, 57.65.

Hope this makes some sense.

Thanks Tristian. Your thinking echoes my own. I'm actually really excited that I've gotten to the point where I can shoot these groups and actually see qualitatively obvious results.

While my group sizes weren't great today, it does demonstrate that all the charges between 58.0 gr and 58.3 gr have the same average triangulated vertical POI.
