Well I finally purchased an HDMR for my 700 P in 308. While I was at SWFA I also picked up a Seekins base and low Seekins rings as well. I meant to get the 20 MOA base and didn't realize until I got home that they had actually given me the 30. Would this work for the setup I have? I should be able to run over there next week if not but wanted to get everything setup tomorrow.

On a side note, the staff at SWFA are awesome and made it very easy for me to compare scopes and rings before I purchased them. I know everyone around here already speaks highly of them but I wanted to pass along my positive experience as well. Thanks.

Re: 30 MOA Base

The 30 MOA base will work fine, you will jus have 10 more MOA vertical adjustment thatn with the 20.

what is the total internal elivation adjustment range of your scope?

Re: 30 MOA Base

If you have the Elite Tactical 3.5-21x50, everything I can find on-line suggests it has about 50 total internal MOA. If that is the case it’s going to be real close for a 100 yard zero... But then the one that was in the group buy shows 89 MOA so the safe thing to do is check your scope for its true travel, if it has more than 60 moa or 17.5 mil you will be fine with the 30 moa base.

Re: 30 MOA Base

From the limit at the top to the limit at the bottom is has just shy of 7 full turns so approximately 33 mils. Cut that in half is 16.5 mils from center. Looks to be just shy of what I need but wanted to be sure before I bring the base back. It appears that the 20 MOa base is what I need. Thanks for the input

Re: 30 MOA Base

If you have 33 total or 16.5 at the half way point you will have no problem with the 30moa base.
