I have been asked several times in the past few months about the USMC 30 MOA base. The most frequent question I get is "whats the difference between the DDROSS and BADGER base". I assume that GAP, TBA and others use the Replica Badger base. I will add that Badger products are pure quality! Their customer service and business ethic is EXTRA-ORDINARY! I am a loyal customer.
You are building a "USMC SPEC" rifle and you want to put a "REAL DEAL DDROSS" base on it. However, you cant get DDROSS to sell you one, so you search the internet all of your free time and you get a base but dont know how to tell if its a real Ross base. Well here is a picture of both bases side by side. The Ross base is marked with an A, besides that the foreward rails are different. The Ross rail is a bit longer than the BADGER ORDNANCE. The finishes seem to differ also. Thats the difference. I buy both types of rails, but I prefer Badger due to price and their customer service. Hope that helps.
