my 1st ever pistol went 300 black out works grate with a buddy's HVT-QD but he wouldn't let me take pic ith it on

No it's staying pistol It shoots really nice, sub and super sonic, thinking of selling it, its cool and all,but I'd think I should have done 5.56. If i had i would be doing SBR then but that's my opinion.

Why would you SBR 5.56 over 300 BLK? The loss in velocity/energy with a short barrel 300 BLK is minimal, not to mention the blast from a 5.56 short barrel is disturbing and the loss of velocity is tremendous. To me, the whole idea of owning a rifle in this caliber is to be able to have a very short barrel and still have a lot of energy on targets within 300 yards. That said, I will never own a 5.56 rifle with a barrel shorter than 16".
