My shooting partner is supposed to post the pictures later tonight . I've had AKA-Spook build me a couple rifles in the past . I had my heart set on a 300 blk so I contacted him . What I got was a Rem 700 with ptg bolt, 17" ss Brux 1/8- threaded for can , McMillan stock and bottom metal to accept 10 rd AI mags . I broke in the barrel and sent it to R W Snyder to get it melonite treated . I have only used n110 and Hornady 225 Match . I got 5 rd groups around 3/4" ( 1074 f/s, sd 8 ) . Today I shot a 10 rd group off bipod and rear bag . 1.050"/10 rds, .850"/9 rds . The rifle came through with a great trigger . After meloniting I had to readjust it but it is back to a perfect trigger ( almost 2 lbs ). The mags fed factory 300 Blk loads fine but not rds loaded long . I am loading 225's to .010 off riflings - approx 2.400 oal . I had to take a little plastic off the front underside of the feed lips to allow the the bullets to feed properly when loaded 'long' ( thanks Hoser for his advice ).
The rifle is a pleasure to shoot ! With a 2 lb Weaver Tactical she weighs 10 lbs . Will put a can on it when my form 1's come back . I don't expect 1/2 moa out of subsonic rifles but I expect this to be a 3/4 moa rifle if I do my part .
Once again AKA-Spook has done a fine job . I also appreciate RWS getting the rifle melonite treated quickly for me .
