Twist for the most part has nothing to do with barrel life in my opinion.I wonder how Much more life you can get with a 28 nosler if you use a gain twist barrel
28 Nosler is a barrel burner period. It is what it is. That fact alone and other data I've seen from bullet and ammo makers... as well as the 26 Nosler is even worse. I've got pictures of a 26 Nosler with a 110 rounds on it and it looks like a 300WM at 800/1000 rounds.
If it was strictly a hunting rifle and not getting a lot of rounds on it/range time...then maybe but if your going to shoot it on a regular basis...there are better options then the 28 Nosler.
