I'm looking to purchase my first Suppressor. It will be going on a 300RUM with a 26" barrel with a velocity of a little over 3,000fps. It's primarily a hunting rig so I'm thinking a direct thread on mount instead of a quick disconnect - I'd like the best repeatability possible. I'd also prefer lighter, but, I'll carry extra weight if it means better performance (lower decibels).

Below is the list of suppressors I've found that will handle the 300RUM. Do you all have insight on whether any of these are better performers? Am I missing any that are not listed here that are better performers?

-SilencerCo Harvester 338
-SilencerCo Saker ASR
-Griffin sportsman ultra light
-YHM 3100Ti
-YHM Nitro 30
-Coastal Gun Gen II LRTi 762
-SAS Arbitor
-Rugged Surge
-Rugged Razor
-Liberty Victory Magnum

Handling the pressure of a 300 RUM and suppressing it well are 2 different things. As already stated, the Thunderbeast 338 Ultra will out perform anything in your original list. It is big, but still super light compared to most. I have em in stock if u wanna try one.

I have 12 suppressors, that have been bought over the past 8 years and in various calibers. My advice would be to buy a TBAC .338 can for your RUM or other magnums and a .30 cal can for everything .30 cal and below. Theres kind of a trade of with using a .30cal can on say .223/5.56 because of the exit hole but that is offset by the larger volume of the can. I wish i had bought two cans instead of twelve, my wallet would have thanked me. TBAC is the best in terms of precision of their cans and their thread over brake mounts.

I was in the same situation and had been looking for a couple years, trying out other's cans on either RUM's, 338 Lapua's, or other overbore rifles. In the end, I jumped on the 338 Ultra when they were announced due to weight, repeatability I had seen the rest of the ultra series, and efficiency. On my 300 RUM, it sounds and feels like my 308 with a 762SD on it. Very impressed. It was my first TBAC, but 13th can (6 manufacturers). My next two cans are going to be TBAC (22LR and 9" 6.5 Ultra).

I have ran both the Harvester big bore 338 and the ultra338, both worked really well and you can not go wrong with ether. honestly, when I take a group of customers out to test the suppressors they can't tell a difference in ether suppressor on the 300rum, 28 nosler or the 338LM or the 300winmag. I will say those two 338 suppressors are very well done. also get the QD brakes/mounts for ether, its much better and easier to work with and plus you have a brake if you ever wanted to shot with out the can on.

Now if it was a 30cal can and not the 338 cal I would sing the praise of the thunder beast ultra 7 or 9 in 30cal, nothing has came close to ether of those yet from a 300wm to a 243 class round.

If your around Atlanta GA let me know and we can go testing.... Just PM me if your interested in it, no matter who you buy from its better to have played than not played at all.
