Hey guys,
I have a friend that is going to get started in reloading his 300 RUM. I'm looking for some data on components before purchasing some dies.
Which brass has the most consistent neck wall thickness? Midway has federal, nosler, and Remington. My instinct is to go with the nosler but that would just be a guess. I don't know if winchester makes 300 rum brass, but I don't think they do. Not planning on neck turning.
does anyone know what the average neck wall thickness runs for each of the three brands OR what outside neck diameter runs loaded round with a 180gr or 200gr accubond (non neck turned)?
Normally I would start him off with a lee collet die, but I don't think they make a die without custom work. Otherwise brass neck wall thickness would be a non issue.
Thanks in advance.
