Ok so I can resize my standard remington brass without ftf... I cannot resize my federal match brass I bought here on the hide to chamber no matter what I have tried. I have measured all I know to measure. I am trying to fully resize the brass. The match brass is heaver and thicker but I do not get it, any help or advise would be great. i have been reloading .308 without an issue for a while. Lee dies.

are you making maximum contact between the base of the die and the shellholder ? or can you still see brass when you raise the ram all the way up ?

what kind of F/L die are you using ? and press ?

uh , might be a stupid question but what does ftf mean ?

You can soot your cases with a candle or use a sharpie to color your cases.

If you soot a case and run it into your chamber , and note where the contact was , then re-soot and run that threw your die , , if the die isnt reducing the contact , i would try a different sizing die.

you can also grind down the bottom of the die , might increase contact.

do you have a headspace gage ? you could measure your rem stuff and compare to your fed.

my rcbs 50 cal dies didnt size down my cases enough , i got a hornady die , did the job.

sorry if i couldnt help you

Gave it a go and as I have suspected the lower part of the match brass will just not resize enough.... I need it to be right at .508 and I cannot get it smaller then .510.. Send the die back to lee or run a different die?
