First I have several rifles in different calibers. I understand that the 300WM has recoil plus some. I’m wanting this round for hunting out west or maybe doing a hunt up north for bear. I have narrowed down my rifle to 3 guns and would like some additional advice or other options in this price range. I really like the Browning Hell’s Canyon McMillian, the Seekins Havok, and the Bergara Premire Series. I like the fact it is built one at a time and comes with paperwork showing its grouping. I’m sure this topic has been beat to death and for this I apologize. I’m new here and would love some thoughts and or smart comments.

We have shot a bunch browning they all shoot well. We have a hell's canyon in creedmore it's a shooter 1/2 min if you keep it clean. Browny's do copper up pretty bad but they really shoot well for off the shelf guns

I take it you are not a fan of the Bergera! Now I will have to look at the MPR.My only concern I have seen with the Christensen was issues with their barrels. I understand they are now milling their own, so maybe that issue is resolved. It looks like what I wanted for my next gun after the 300 WM. I then wanted to buy a chassis gun probably in the 6.5 PRC. This may kill two birds with one stone!

The Christensen rifles of today aren’t the same as they were over a decade ago when they first started doing carbon wrapped barrels. Yes they sucked back then but they have come a long way. The rifles they’re putting out today are excellent.

It is very interesting to say the least. Maybe I’m getting old but it just seems strange hunting with a chassis style weapon. With that being said it could allow me spend much more on my optics instead of thinking about buying that style rifle next.
