Didn’t have but a little while today to play with some loads. Longest I could load them and still get in my DMB was 3.670, which was .060 jump. I was hoping to get up to around 77 grains of H1000 but was starting to flatten primers at 76. So I settled on 75 and shot it at 400 yards which produced just over a 2 inch group that was abt 3/4 to an inch high. Rilfe is a remington 700 Alaskan with a 26 inch barrel. It’s never been super accurate(1/2 to 3/4 MOA) so I was pleased with that load. I didn’t chrono them but based on the elevation I had dialed, it was right around 2900 FPS. Does this sound like I am in the right ballpark? Brass was new SIG brass and federal magnum primers.

I am shooting 77.5 h1000, cci250 primers behind 215 Bergers in Norma cases in a Remington Stainless m700 Long Range. Half MOA or better to 1000 yards. Slight flattening but no ejector mark. So far I am on the fifth loading on the same brass. I only get 2850 in mine even at 77.5. Hammered an antelope at 700 yards with it this year.

Have you pushed any harder than 76grains? I tested all the way to 79 grains, ejector marks and slight stiff bolt. Every barrel is different, especially factory.

I only went to 76. I had a slightly stiff bolt there and flat primers. I don’t know the velocity but i was basing that off the drop at 400 yards and the zero
Honestly felt like it may have been more than 2900 but idk. Like Silverjay, I cant get closer than .060 and still use my DBM. I Would have been a little nervous going above 76 grains with flat primers and a stiff bolt.

My personal rifle and 3 that I've loaded for all seem to like 76.0 grains of H1000 and 215s. Mine is a 24" , makes 2800 fps. The other 3 I've loaded for are 26" and make 2900 fps. Strange that they all want 76 grains, but damned if they don't . All are .020-.030 jump .

Was u seeing any pressure signs at 76? I would love to test some loads for accuracy above 75, but I am cautious to try it. My barrel is 26 also. I could try some different brass and see if that helps the pressure. This is the first time I have used Sig brass.

I am at mag length on a BDL, 3.68”. I am jumping .040. If your accuracy is good at 75 and you are at least at 2850, it will be a hammer. You have to remember high BC bullets carry velocity at longer distances.

I don’t trust my drop measurements until I get past 800 and shoot at least two distances on the same day to compare.

Good luck!

I didn't see pressure until 77.5 grains, didn't chronograph those as accuracy degraded the harder I pushed it .

My hunting load is 75.5 gr of H1000 with the 200AB in Nosler brass with Fed215M.
From my 24" barrel the velocities are 2860fps average but the 200AB has a long bearing surface.
I'm on my 2nd loading with those neck sizing only with a Lee collet die and no heavy bolt lift at all.

I've run the 215 thru a 300rum with jump of .090 and thru a 300wm with more jump than that (mag limited OAL) both were tack drivers with that much jump. Hybrids are very forgiving on long jump.

I’ve been using the Berger 215 with 76.5 grains of H1000 in Hornady cases loaded 20 thousands off the land. Gets me 3000FPS out of a 26 inch barrel

I’m not sure but what I can tell you is my coal is 3.552 with the 215. They told me it was throated for the 215 so it must have had a long freebore. Sorry I can’t be of more help
