300wm Muzzle Brake. Eff everyone standing next to me.

I used a Cone-Trol self timing brake for a couple of months. It was pretty effective. I switched to a TBAC CB brake when I got the suppressor. The CB Brake is pretty effective but I almost never shoot the 300 with out the can now.

APW 5 Port Raptor Monster brake is my choice, I sold my 419 after using it. Not very popular on here since it’s made by a PRS shooter in South Africa but it performed beyond my expectations. Also the exchange rate works in our favor so it was pretty cheap when I picked it up.

To be completely fair to Insite arms their brake does a decent job of preventing a gas facial exfoliation (same for PVA). The Insite brake's effectiveness is noticeably less than some of the others mentioned, i.e. APA LB FB, Area 419 match or hellfire, m4-72, APW brakes ect. When looking at brake understand two things: 1-you don't need as many ports as people might tell you unless you start going much bigger than 300WM, the volume of gas and overbore amount are proportionate to the deflection surface of the brake and number or size of baffles you will need. 2- most of the brakes that have a decent REARWARD angle to the baffles will perform well enough that you wont notice a difference, just remember that the first baffle works the hardest and therefore if a manufacturer makes the first baffle flat to save you from blast it will NOT be as effective as a brake that has a rearward angled first baffle, no matter how much anyone says otherwise. at the end of the day they will all likely nearly HALVE your recoil at least so just get what you like/ can afford.
