I recently bought a rem 700 aac-sd and have been practicing with the 168gr rounds. haven't had any real good luck with them but they were factory loads. now that I have built up a little brass i'm going to start loading. should I stick with the 168 or bump up to the 175gr bullets? shooting from 100-600yds

I have had really good luck with 175 smk's and the 178 amax and hpbt. I have also had good luck with the 155 gr lapua they will all work well 600 and beyond. I would try them all and see what works best for you. Good luck!

I stay away from the 168 class bullets because I want my loads to perform at any distance from 100-1200 if I need to take that shot. The 155's (berger hybrids especially) and the 175/178's all will do just that. Just find the one that shoots the best be it Hornady, Sierra, Berger, Nosler ect.

what am I thinking? Scratch that... buy the 168's and leave the others for me.
