Shot a match in the Oklahoma panhandle in 25mph+ winds this morning

Just filmed through a spotting scope holding my phone so not the best. Still thought it was cool though. Would’ve been a lot cooler if the shooter would have hit the deer.



12” diamonds from 300y to 1000y. 3 per distance shots. 2pts for a first round hit and 1pt for 2nd and 3rd round hits. Must hit to advance to next distance. Pretty fun format.

Today the 700y target was a deer. Lung kill plate was worth double points. Since deer season is starting thought this would be a fun target.

The shots in the video are a .308 with 175 SMK I believe. The sun was in just the right spot and the trace was amazing all day. This .308 made way better trace than everything else. I could see the sun reflecting off the bullet on pretty much every shot he took.

Shiny trace is always cool.
I saw at least one shot had a pulsating trace, I’ve seen that as well.
